EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

While thinking about what to write for my blog post, my mind stuck and I got confused. Desperately, I opened the TV, where Shahzad Roy's (social activist and well known singer) renowned program "Chal Parha" was on the screen. Suddenly my mind blinked and I got an idea. Here  I am not going to review the the show but in short I want to take an overview of our educational system and the curriculum which we follow.

           As  education is the basis of a nation's development, most country pay top priority to this department. But irony if we go through the present educational system of the country, we can see the alarming situation. At primary level children are forced to learn rather than to motivate them. Children remain under stress due to the load of curriculum. Therefore, most children want to use a short cut and are inclined to rote learning. As a result, students mental  growth is effected. The major reason behind this is, curriculum is not student centered. It should be student centered to give student a core development. 

     One thing I want to mention is that we don't have a clear national educational policy. Policies are made by one government and then changed by the other government. So, it is the responsibility of the authority to make the policy with a vision of at least 25 years ahead. Secondly, there should be an evaluation of the text books. The content should be up-to-dated and according to the retirement of the new generation.

         Only hopes can make you alive. So I crossed my finger and pray to ALLAH to make our educational system up to the mark. As it is the first step towards prosperity.
